FAVORITE GOLF HOLES:
Every hole at the USDGC is incredible. All of the holes force the player to make good shots and be a smart golfer.
Every hole at Riverbend Disc Golf Course is the same way. Every hole is amazing and well thought out.
Hole 13 at Yauger Disc Golf Course In Olympia, WA. Its pretty easy distance wise, but its fun and challenging in other ways. The basket is located to the right of an OB parking lot, allowing players to skip their discs off the concrete towards the basket. I have gotten a couple aces on that hole, and it never gets old.
Hole 4 at the fantastic Blue Ribbon Pines Disc Golf Course in Bethel, MN. The signature hole on the course, its about 445 feet down a narrow corridor lined with pines with tons of trouble on both sides. Its also an amazing and beautiful sight to see, course design at its best.
# OF ACES:18
LONGEST MEASURED THROW: 602’
PRACTICE/PRE-ROUND ROUTINE:
It varies quite a bit. A lot of individuals have solid, set routines that they do every time. I do whatever feels right. If I feel like I need to make a couple 20 footers, that’s what Ill do.
GOALS:
Win an A tier
Top 15 at NT events
Become a member of Team Innova
Maintain a solid GPA at WWU, while playing as much as possible.
Continue playing to the best of my ability
ADVICE/TIPS:
I am still a relatively new player, so I still have quite a bit to learn myself. However, I have picked up a few things.
1) Become a student. Try to learn as much as possible from people you play with or watch.
2)Practice makes perfect. Everyone says it, I know, but its true. If you cant make it to the course, go to a local park or backyard and practice putting.
3)Accept bad throws. Take them with a grain of salt. I have witnessed countless rounds ruined just because a one bad hole or shot. Get into the right mindset and shrug it off. It happens to everybody.
4)Just have fun. Whether it’s a casual round or a National Tour Event. Balance professionalism with a bit of humor.
